IP Gateway ports are required when connecting Wave calls between TDM/PSTN network and IP endpoints or connecting call between SIP trunks and digital/analog endpoints. The Wave IP 2500 platform has an integrated voice gateway that is included in all of the Wave IP 2500 system editions. In addition, all Wave editions (Standard, Professional and Enterprise) are prepackaged with 4 G.711 IP Gateway ports for TDM to IP connections. Additional IP Gateway ports are required to be ordered based on the peak number of digital/analog to IP connections required on the Wave platform. Specific examples of when these licenses are required include: T1/PRI to IP stations calls. Analog trunks to IP stations calls. SIP trunks to digital stations calls. SIP trunks to analog stations calls. Wave IP-based system networked to a Wave TDM-based system
